There are only a few weeks till the secondary school offers for September 2026 will be released. Expect a surge in calls from parents concerned about their child’s placement. While the Admissions Officer will handle most enquiries, support is needed as one person may not manage the volume, and parents can become frustrated if unable to speak to someone.
To ensure consistent and accurate responses, provide an FAQ on your website and train staff to stick strictly to those answers during peak demand. If questions fall outside the FAQ, instruct staff to refer the query to the Admissions Officer via email, who will respond directly to the parent.
Always remember that the wrong information given to a parent could lead to an upheld appeal.
