By ensuring that the School Admissions Administrator is fully aware of all aspects of the admissions process will enable him/her to fully support the School Management Team.
The session will include the following elements:
- Understanding the School Admissions and Appeals Codes.
- Setting up a clear admission policy and the procedures to implement it, which will give quality assurance to the Governing Body of statutory compliance, and ensure the efficient use of funding and resources.
- Amending the Admissions policy and the consultation process.
- Preparing information for parents on the School’s admissions process.
- Reviewing feedback in order to streamline the process and improve efficiency.
School Admission Appeals
Preparation and Presentation
It is essential that a school is able to prepare a strong case to prove prejudice against an admission appeal, and present this case fully and effectively.
The session will include the following elements:
- Understanding the School Admissions and Appeals Codes.
- Do parents understand why their child has not been offered a place?
- Preparing the case against an admission appeal, and what needs to be included.
- How to present the School’s case effectively.
All training will take place on the school premises or can be held virtually.
